Country singer Mindy McCready dead of apparent suicide

Country singer of the 90s era, Mindy McCready, dead on Sunday allegedly committed suicide on the front porch of his home in Heber Springs, Ark., west of Memphis and north of Little Rock.

Sheriff Marty Moss said his office received a call to the McCready home around 3:30 pm local time. Police are still investigating possible motives other than death.

Wynonna Judd wrote, "Addiction is a dis EASE and not a character flaw. Becomes When the pain too much, it causes people to want that pain to stop. This is just so Unbelievable."

"Really really sad to learn the news about Mindy McCready," Chely Wright tweeted. "I will pray for her children and I hope that people are gentle with her memory."
